1. Who is responsible for Fitgram

Fitgram is an iOS calorie tracking app operated by the Fitgram team. For privacy questions, deletion requests, access requests or any other data request, contact us at onefitgram@gmail.com.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we act as the controller for the personal data processed to provide the Fitgram app and related support.

2. Information you provide

• Profile and goals: name or display name, email address if you sign in, sex, date of birth or age, height, current weight, target weight, activity level, goal type, diet preference, calorie goal and macro targets.
• Food logging: meal names, ingredients, portion sizes, calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, photos selected for scanning, barcode results, notes, tags, ratings, recipes and favorite foods.
• Progress: water intake, workouts, imported or manually added activity, weight entries, streaks, freezes, achievements and weekly summaries.
• Social features: username, friend requests, friend list, reactions, leaderboard data and shared achievement activity when you use friends features.
• Support: messages you send to us, screenshots, app version, device model and other details you choose to include in a support request.

3. Information from device permissions

• Camera and photo library: used when you scan food, labels or barcodes, or when you choose an avatar. Fitgram asks permission before access.
• Microphone and speech recognition: used only when you start voice meal input.
• Notifications: used for reminders, streak risk, achievements, friend reactions and progress prompts if you allow notifications.
• Apple Health: used only after you grant access. Fitgram may read supported health data such as weight or activity to update your plan.

4. How Fitgram uses information

• To save meals, calculate calories and macros, track water, workouts, weight and progress.
• To personalize targets, streaks, achievements, facts, Coach Ola advice and recipe suggestions.
• To run AI features when you ask for photo, voice, manual, product or recipe assistance.
• To manage free and Pro limits, subscription state, trials and App Store purchase status.
• To provide account features, friend features, support, debugging, abuse prevention and security.
• To comply with App Store, tax, consumer protection, privacy and legal obligations.

5. AI processing

When you use an AI feature, Fitgram may send the relevant prompt, selected image, detected text, dish name, product name, portion size or nutrition fields through our AI proxy so the requested result can be generated. For example, a food photo may be used to estimate the dish and ingredients, and a product name may be used to estimate nutrition per 100 g.

AI output is an estimate. Fitgram shows a confirmation flow before saving food entries where possible, and you are responsible for reviewing results before relying on them.

6. Storage and service providers

Fitgram uses local device storage for core app data. Depending on the features enabled in your app version and your settings, data may also be processed by Apple services such as iCloud, CloudKit, Sign in with Apple, StoreKit and App Store subscriptions.

Fitgram may use service providers for AI proxying, AI model responses, barcode data, backend account features, subscription status, analytics, diagnostics, crash reporting, email support and hosting. These providers may include Cloudflare, Apple, Google, Open Food Facts, RevenueCat, Supabase, PostHog or Sentry, depending on the active app configuration.

We require providers to process information only for the service they provide to Fitgram and not for selling your personal data.

7. Analytics and diagnostics

Fitgram may collect limited diagnostics such as app version, device type, crash logs, performance events and feature usage events. We use this to fix bugs, improve reliability and understand which features need work. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or IDFA-based tracking.

8. Subscriptions and payments

Fitgram Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Fitgram does not receive your card number, bank details or full billing information. We may receive subscription status, product identifier, renewal status, trial status and transaction identifiers so Pro features can be unlocked.

9. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share information only when needed to provide Fitgram features, process payments, respond to support requests, comply with law, prevent abuse, protect rights and security, or complete a business transfer such as merger or acquisition if Fitgram is ever transferred.

10. Retention

Data stored on your device remains until you delete it, delete the app, reset app data or use account deletion tools. Server-side account, subscription, support and diagnostic records are kept only as long as needed for the feature, legal obligations, fraud prevention, security, accounting or dispute handling.

11. Your controls and rights

You can edit profile data, change goals, revoke iOS permissions, export data, delete meals and delete your account from the app where available. You can also email onefitgram@gmail.com to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability.

Users in the EEA, UK and other regions may have additional privacy rights under local law. If you believe we have not resolved your request, you may contact your local data protection authority. In Poland, the authority is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland.

12. International transfers

Fitgram and its providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections, platform safeguards or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

13. Children

Fitgram is intended for users aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to Fitgram, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including platform security features, access controls and provider safeguards. No app or online service can guarantee perfect security.

15. Changes

We may update this policy when Fitgram changes, providers change or legal requirements change. The latest version is posted at https://fitgram.space/privacy.
